Every Grocery Store Open on Thanksgiving Day 2022

Kroger is just one of many places near you that will keep its doors open on November 24.

Creating a Thanksgiving grocery shopping list can be an intimidating task, from the sheer amount of ingredients you need to prepare everyone's favorite fixings to the overall fear of forgetting a random item and ruining a family recipe. But it's not the end of the world if you forget to purchase a few things before November 24, as there are select grocery stores open on Thanksgiving Day. From supermarkets to general stores to restaurants equipped with complete Thanksgiving dinners, you won't go without options (if it comes to it).

While only some of these grocery stores offer pre-cooked turkey dinners if you want to avoid tireless hours in the kitchen on Thanksgiving Day, all the chains below will have that one ingredient you are desperately searching for, whether it's a spice for your pumpkin pie, bread for your turkey stuffing, or herbs for your soon-to-be perfectly cooked turkey.

Of course, it's always a good idea to reach out to your local branch of each of these grocery stores, as hours of operation can often differ between location. Calling ahead will also guarantee that you don't drive all the way to your Publix only to discover it's actually closed. And while you are at checkout, make sure to offer a Thanksgiving greeting or share a relatable Thanksgiving quote to the cashier, so they know just how grateful you are that they are working on the holiday.
